PS4 Remote Play is a tool that allows us to cast everything easily, which executes on PlayStation straight to our Android device or any other compatible device. Using this application, we can entertain our favorite PlayStation 4 games using wireless DUALSHOCK devices and Sony account.

However, not all the games contain this feature. Instead, we can send lots of content to the screens of our choice devices, including Android smartphones, smart TVs, tablets, or other supported monitor devices. These devices need to connect with the corresponding Wi-Fi network.

Features of PS4 Remote Play

  • It displays the PS4 screen on an Android smartphone.
  • It allows us to use the on-screen controller of the device to control our PS4.
  • You can connect to make voice chats using a microphone on a smartphone.

The requirement for using PS4 Remote Play

  • Android smartphone that runs on Android 5.0 or above version.
  • PlayStation 4 device containing the latest version of system software
  • An account to access PlayStation Network.
  • PS4 Remote Play needs a high-speed Internet connection (preferred Wi-Fi connection) to perform well.

Verified devices that support PS4 Remote Play

  • Google's Pixel 3 and 4 series devices.
  • Xperia smartphones and tablets that support wireless DUALSHOCK 4 controller.

Limitations of PS4 Remote Play

  • This application might not support some of the games.
  • This application may not work well on non-verified devices.
  • If you want to use the touchpad function on the DUALSHOCK 4 on a smartphone running on Android 10, you have to use an on-screen controller.
  • You cannot use this application through a mobile network.

How to set up PS4 Remote Play

To enjoy PlayStation 4 games using PS4 Remote Play, first of all, you need to setup PS4 Remote Play. To set up PS4 Remote Play, follow the below-given steps:

Enable Remote Play on PS4

First of all, make sure that your PlayStation 4 settings are turned ON to connect with Remote Play.

  1. Navigate to your PlayStation 4 Settings.
  2. Tap on the Remote Play Connection Settings.
  3. Mark check to the Enable Remote Play option.

Activate your PS4 as your Primary PS4

  1. Navigate to PS4 Settings and then visit Account Management.
  2. In the Account Management screen, activate the Activate as Your Primary PS4.

Make sure that you can activate only one Primary PS4 at one time.

Start your Remote Play when PS4 is in Rest Mode

  1. Visit at PS4 Settings
  2. Click on the Power Save Settings
  3. Next, go to the Set Features Available in Rest Mode.

Installing Remote Play

Now, your PlayStation 4 setup is completed and needs to connect with any Remote Play devices and launch Remote Play on the platform you want to play.

  1. Visit at Remote Play download site and select the operating system on which you want to use.
  2. Run the downloaded file and follow the instruction to complete your installation process.
  3. Start the Remote Play when your PS4 is in rest mode.

For iOS and Android
